What did you say?
Proverbs 31:8-9 says, "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed. Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice".
The Bible here is imploring us to speak up for those that need justice. Those who are poor and helpless. Speaking up for those who can't speak for themselves.
But... what does this look like for those of us who don't know where to start.
Which people group is God calling us to?
Children Sex Slave Trade
Yes... these are all groups that we as Christians need to help and take a stand for. God opens big doors for people who are willing to speak up for righteousness sake. Who am I that God would open such doors for??? Ummm.... you are a child of the Most High God. Who owns it all. Who has given you a voice to speak up for those who are unable to speak for themselves. Ask Him to show you and he will show you when to speak and what to say. Remember He is able to do Exceeding, Abundantly, Above all we can Think or Imagine.
However, I don't want us to forget a very important people group that needs speaking up for. No, they don't need us to speak up for them to the government or the world.

Poor in Spirit Depressed
Suicidal Bound in Sin
Lonely Hungry for Answers
How do we speak up for those going through moments like these.... seasons like these.

It is powerful! Daily put on the armor of God and go to battle with the commander of the Lord's army. Yes you will be threat and your life will get very active very quickly, but prayer changes things. It can turn the heart of Kings, Frees the Captive and changes us to humble ourselves and care for others the way that is Christ-like. It's a challenge for 2012. Are you ready to Speak up in Prayer for those who can't Speak up and Pray for themselves.
